The new edition of the Master in High Performance Computing (MHPC) 2025–2026 is now open for applications. Once again this year, OGS (National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics) is offering scholarships to support students working on thesis projects focused on the development, modernisation, optimisation and/or GPU porting of scientific source codes for various Earth Sciences applications.
This collaboration involves placement within various OGS research groups, both in the Oceanography Section and the Seismological Research Centre. Thesis projects will typically last between 6 and 8 months, with the possibility of long-term extension.
The projects are funded under the TeRABIT initiative, which also covers the Master’s tuition fees.
Further details and project descriptions are available on this page.
