TeRABIT Final Conference

Programme of the TeRABIT Final event now online

11 November 2025

The Final event of the TeRABIT project, titled “TeRABIT: the evolution of infrastructures for cutting-edge research”, will take place on 2 December at the Conference Centre of the CNR Bologna Research Area.

The event will be a key opportunity to present the results of the project funded by the PNRR, discuss future perspectives, and strengthen synergies among major Italian and European research infrastructures.

The opening address will be given by Mauro Campanella (GARR and INFN), who will outline the current state of progress and main achievements of the project.

This will be followed by a session focusing on synergies and sustainability, featuring contributions from Alessia D’Orazio (ICSC), Michele Punturo (INFN), Giacomo Cuttone (INFN), and Mirko Cestari (Cineca).

In the afternoon, the discussion will move to the evolution of research infrastructures and federated and distributed HPC computing. Speakers will include Michele Mazzola (MUR), Mirko Cestari (Cineca), Claudia Battista (GARR Director), Cosimo Solidoro (Director of the OGS Oceanography Division), and Diego Bettoni, INFN Vicepresident.

The session, chaired by Silvia Calegari (INFN), will also feature talks by Elisa Zuccolo (OGS) on UrgentShake and Giovanni Cesaroni (GARR) on federated monitoring. The afternoon will offer a stimulating exchange among experts on innovation, sustainability, and the development of digital infrastructures for scientific research.

On 3 December, a workshop will take place, dedicated to the main actors of the project.

In-person participation is strongly encouraged, but the event will also be available via live streaming.
